Kids just emulate trendy stars, musicians, etc.

Didn't watch the movie but i wish these types of films would target and call out the actual culprits of why society is this way not just generalities. Did they do that? Did they talk about rap culture and how that distills down into what kids do?

Like wtf do you expect when people like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, etc are idols for so many kids?

Yes. The two scenes where there is actually dancing in the entire movie are inspired by a music video on YouTube.

I just watched Cuties with my girlfriend. We were expecting 2 hours of disgusting Dance Moms level pedophile content that we could rant about and then go bash Netflix on Twitter, but instead we got a thoughtful coming of age story. Nothing wrong with this movie. If you saw "pedophile content" in it then you are probably just a pedophile and need to never look at children in any context. Or you're just a bandwagoner who didn't watch it.

the fact that full movie is not harmful does not detract from the fact that the poster/trailer will be viewed by many people who do not watch the full doc

It's valid to have a discussion about the impacts of the poster

I think the outcome of this will be a rising rate of failed relationships. You have a couples now where both are absorbed by social media. Ones posting their ass while the other is looking at asses of others, and not just off to the strippers with your friends, constant (sitting on the toilet, scrolling on the sofa, etc.).

You will likely also see some of the most insecure people ever once their body’s start to fade away. Meanwhile those consuming it will either not be able to function in a natural relationship or their dick wont work since the real person in their relationship doesn’t have a 24/7 filter, Adobe or doesn’t live their life in the gym tossing on coverup everyday.

I am sort of still / was a powerlifter. Don't think i never thought about steroids. But I have always thought id hit a peak and eventually it will be so bad for the body ill have to stop (not to mention long term consequences) that ill never hit that peak again. Sure a body naturally decays and that happens but the curve is far more gradual, even past my mid 20's primes im still climbing, still progressing. I don't know what would have happened psychologically if i peaked and never was able to remotely achieve that peak again without substance abuse.

To tie the above in, its like Instagram. These woman and men will peak in attention, if they try to ever deviate now from putting up ass and tit and ab pictures they will likely fall off which psychologically will not have a good response, the dopamine drop off. Unfortunately very few use the audience they had already build via posting ass pictures and then completely transform themselves to be an individual that offers something else to hold viewers after their body falls off.

dude funny you say that. a friend of a friend i know was like 300 lbs, started to lift like crazy, went on a cycle of roids or two, started cut diets, and then his apple watch went nuts. had a heart arithmea and had to be hospitalized and shock it back into rhythm.

got out, and is still lifting like nuts and presumably on the juice while eating cut diets and/or mostly supplements. drinks 4 red bulls a day. has kids.

he got addicted to instagram from other meatheads liking/sharing his progress pics. now cant quit, even after hospitalization.

This whole ordeal is a perfect example of Headline syndrome. Nobody reads past the headline, nobody watches the actual movie.

I think the trend I'm seeing is that women who have seen the movie overwhelmingly think there was nothing wrong with it, and men who have not seen the movie have a whole lot of bad things to say about it.

and men who have seen it and think there's something wrong with it are shamefully erect.

yeah and it was already getting bad before this year where now basically all “interaction” is via social media. keeping up with the jones went from having a better lawn than your neighbor to a constant stream of comparisons all over social mediums. throw in the proliferation of throwaway transactional online dating and here we are

millennials are likely the last generation that had a chance to forge and experience relationships not completely immersed in social media. i lament this for the future generations as theyre probably all wrapped in social media by the time they hit the teenage years

and Netflix knowingly released a misleading "headline" (poster).

if their poster had accurately represented the doc, there wouldn't be a problem.
