fenderp pulling the equivalent of #AllLivesMatter

Imagine being such a piece of shit that you go to a funeral and ask the mourners why they aren't mourning some other funeral. There are 364 other days of the year that you can mourn for the victims lost during war.

---

For me, my most visceral memory was listening to the radio thinking about the possibility of the towers collapsing. Moments later, I hear the host say that one of the towers collapsed. The host was just in awe and didn't really know what to say other than, "it collapsed...it collapsed...I don't know what else to say." It was the most insane thing I've ever experienced.

My wife's cousin worked across the towers at Lehman Brothers and always went to grab breakfast around that time. Fortunately he didn't for whatever reason but he was out of contact for several hours. I can't imagine that kind of agony of not knowing. For thousands of people, the agony didn't disappear...it was only confirmed.

Santa- post thread

Fenderp - "ya but whatabout"

Santa - "ya but whatabout"

Fenderp - "nice whataboutism"

Irony. Does it hurt your butt that bad when your whataboutism is replied to with whataboutism?

Don't go confusing my refusal to allow you to frame the discussion on your own terms with some kind of tacit approval on my part of your framing.

Several nations, unfortunately. And there's no singular date, but rather a long sequence of events over 500 years. If you're looking for me to be upset with American imperialism, then look no further. But that still has nothing to do with 9/11 remembrance.

The whole world participated in slavery. Only the Germans made pogroms an industrial process.

false equivalence, i clearly and directly addressed the 9/11 victims, and merely asked if you also think of the grave injustices committed as a direct result from it. that's not a whataboutism. trying to deflect by bringing up something completely UNRELATED is.

you being so defensive and STILL dodging the question clearly illustrates your typically american, ignorant perspective (one of the reasons those people hate you, not a justification for anything ofc, but an explanation). some questions don't have to be answered directly though, your reaction speaks for itself, and i can't say i'm surprised.

typical cockboy 'argument' - imagine being such a piece of shit that you simply don't care about those people but pretend to - just not on this day that would be the perfect opportunity to do so - because you don't have the balls to admit that. imagine you were alive and witnessed how hundreds of thousands were killed by your leaders under false premises, and you did fuck all about it, quite the opposite, still support the architects and profiteers of those crimes.

You did. As an afterthought. Your first order of business was a complete whatabout?.

Where did you buy your Jump To Conclusions Mat™? This whole forum already knows I don't support warmongering, including on the part of the United States, but you're sitting over there in your ivory tower acting as if your conclusions are justified because I refuse to give you the time of day. Look, I can't be any more clear: this thread is for remembrance. Go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.

Where did I pretend to care? All I'm saying is that you can do that on another day and you're shitting on the victims and their families.

reminds me of gun nuts after mass shootings: this is not the time to talk about guns (it never is)
or right wingers regarding protests against police brutality: not like that (or any other way)

again, your reaction speaks for itself.

what part of 'the victims of this horrible terror attack deserve to be remembered and mourned', which is what i stated in my very first post, is "shitting on the victims and their families", you lying pos?

it's obvious you don't care, that's why you keep supporting war-mongers and -profiteers. just like your fellow ignorant americans...

Look what i found:

September 11–12 – Henry Hudson in the Halve Maen sails into Upper New York Bay, and begins a journey up the Hudson River.
Henry Hudson discovers Manhattan Island and the indigenous people living there.

It's weird going down memory lane. On that day, I was getting ready for school and the news were on, and suddenly half the screen gets taken up by footage of the WTC burning. Then it shows another plane crashing. I thought it was some sort of action movie being advertised aggressively and didn't think much of it. My child-self couldn't grasp my head around it.

As Santara said, it was an afterthought to you. Perhaps if you had said, "this terrorist attack was horrible, we should remember the victims of it and the victims of the horrific aftermath," you'd be more believable. But no, you just can't help yourself because you're a spiteful, little man.

But I'm with Santara on this. Go create your own thread about this and we can discuss it there. I won't respond to you anymore in this thread.
