Most beliefs are not dogmatic, they are held for a reason. Yes, many people are not consciously aware of the reaon why they hold certain beliefs... but debates are exactly what's needed to find out (also for themselves) where they're coming from. If nothing else, it will make most people more self-conscious and thought out.
But very few people end up losing their jobs or being deplatformed on social media, so a majority of the conversation (including the essence of the Harper's Letter) is about the mere calling out, cancellation, and ostracizing of people in predominantly online spaces.
Edit: And besides, wouldn't your position then be better geared towards employers and social media companies? People, whether it be a single person or an online collective, can call for anything and everything. They don't have any power to make things manifest in the real-world though.
