on a semi serious note ideologically supporting freedoms isn't the whole picture, there's also the application of removing those freedoms while legislating. Freedom of association generally isn't that large of a problem from either party when it comes to legislation, and where it is a problem both parties meekly attack it. Covid generally has been the greatest risk to association we've had that i can remember, unless you have more specific examples.

Can you honestly say if Obama had attacked protestors with the military to get a photo op you wouldnt have railed on it for weeks? We both know you would have.

It shows how little commitment you have to your ideals. You will selectively criticize one party over the other when they commit the same acts.
