This usually happens with every president

Did you say the same thing when Bush cleared them out years in?

They wait 3 years until he's being investigated to change attorneys out every time?

They already prosecuted Cohen for a crime that implicated Trump, and it's been reported they were investigating Trump's personal attorney Guiliani. Who knows what else they are investigating.

Even if it were shown SDNY was investigating Trump, would that change your opinion at all? You'd just find a way to spin it in Trump's favor, as you do for basically everything.

Yes, political firings happen. This obviously isn't some normal political firing. For people who actually care about holding those in power accountable, this firing raises a number of questions.

Obama got rid of a bunch of republican DC judges and flipped the DC court democrat with his appointments. Trump directly or indirectly fired a prosecutor that was pretty obviously political with his prosecutions who will be replaced by a guy that agrees politically with Trump.

Like this is the way works, and has for quite some while, but as usual you're so obsessed and fixated with Trump that you don't even care about long standing precedence and immediately go into orange man bad and think the things he's doing are somehow way worse than any of his predecessors.

What is the bold referring to?

It's impossible to have a fruitful discussion when you're so detached from reality. You're making contradictory arguments. Either the guy who served on Trump's transition and Sessions appointed was a secret Democrat who was rightly fired for trying to take down Trump, or the firing was totally normal and not at all exceptional. Pick a lane retard.

How did Obama fire them? Aren't judges appointed for life?

I asked you before how Obama "packed the courts" since it's his job to appoint federal judges and he faced record obstruction on his appointments.

Democrats literally changed the filibusterer rules so Obama can get a 8-5 Democrat DC court which is the second most important court in the US since so many federal cases are heard there.

The difference now is that Harry Reid last year packed the D.C. Circuit with three of President Obama's nominees, so liberals now outnumber conservatives by eight to five not counting senior judges. The Senate Majority Leader nuked the filibuster rule for judges, allowing them to be confirmed with 51 instead of 60 votes, precisely so the court would become the garbageman to dispose of unpleasant legal challenges to the President's regulatory decrees. ObamaCare is Exhibit A

Your options are retarded. Here is how he got to where he was

Berman served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1990 to 1994. In January 2018, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Berman's appointment as interim U.S. Attorney for a statutory period of 120 days.[1] On April 25, 2018, the judges of the Southern District of New York, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. ยง 546(d), unanimously appointed Berman U.S. Attorney for an indeterminate term that expired "until the vacancy is filled",[2] which may or may not include the appointment of a presidential nominee approved by the Senate.[3][2]

He was a hold the spot guy until the president decided to appoint someone else. The president now wants to appoint someone else, probably because Berman is not on team Trump, like whats so hard to understand here? You can't even bother to research the basics before foaming at the mouth for the 2347th time about Trump?

He was a "hold guy" for 3 years? Not very convincing

It doesn't matter if you're convinced or not.

Interim, statutory period, even the quoted legal language from the last two lines is pretty clear. Like the legal language literally says

So what? Presidents appoint judges... there's nothing abnormal about that. Trump now benefits because of the senate rule change... he's appointed a lot of judges.

This is such a bizarre conversation. The thread contains links of what happened here, and you're just incapable of understanding why this isn't normal. It's like the mental faculties of Trump supporters vaporize when faced with damaging information on him or his administration.

It's funny that "Trump fired Berman because his office was investigating him" is supposed to be a defense. Lol... so insane.
