Avoiding rent in a literal sense is nearly impossible.
yada yada
Literally everything you said also applies to rent and home ownership. There is no getting around that if you consider taxes theft, then rent or cost to buy a home is also theft. They are the same system in action.
We can talk about the broader policy implications and my positions later, for now let's stick to the thing that started the conversation.
you have a choice of a home, and there are millions living at home or with friends for free. you have a choice of job, or no job, millions of people have no jobs. many of them also have no homes. they've made a complicated system of choices to have or not have these things.
your choice to pay taxes is pay them or go to jail. that's it.
if you could pay all taxes, some taxes, or no taxes you'd have a good comparison. but I cant choose just not to pay taxes, I have to choose not to work and therefore not pay taxes. or not own a home and therefore not pay taxes. this isn't the same, 1 doesn't equal 2.
"how can I avoid paying taxes" =/= "can I choose not to pay taxes"
honestly it seems like you think this is your best example, which is really weird. its just bad dude. feel free to reiterate 1 = 2 tho, so I can just log off.
