TIL the Pentagon had only civilians inside.

Pentagon was at least a military target.... which is why I DIDN'T mention it. So... TYL

Still the most impactful world event that happened in my lifetime, by far.

I hope it won't be topped (at least, by a negative event).

It's funny how this is kind of a generational divide now. I was at my alma mater for an alumni event a few months ago and where some of the people who are currently graduating remember some things about that day, none of the new students do.

Seems were the same age , I was born in May 1990 and to be honest at the time I had no real perspective on this event. Other than I noticed that older people were sad/freaked out. I mean I do remember what I was somewhat doing that day in the 5th grade vaguely but as far as overall perspective of the event, I didn't really have real perspective on it until 3-4 years later mostly because of the Afghanistan War and later Iraq.

Also RIP. Also always good to highlight the heroes of US Airlines Flight 93 who prevented their flight from reaching its destination which is believed to be the Capitol Building. A tragic day could have been significantly worse considering the fact either they would have reached their target or the US Military would have to to make a choice of taking down a plane they know has innocent civilians on it.

Then use the phrase "The WTC was nothing but civilians", not this:

/e There were more people killed on 9/11 than in the bombing of Pearl Harbor. And at least Pearl Harbor was a military target. 9/11 was nothing but civilians.

Let's stick to my POINT, rather than pick my sentences apart. You KNOW exactly what I meant. Until, this forum moves to some other country... I will continue to assume, that we all speak and understand English.

Anyone else who says otherwise is wrong or jelly.

Yeah, you are one that should be on the front lines.

That's why were losing this war without bullets. Front lines for you as well.

ALL wars are about beliefs. Front lines.

Ya know why we have all these mass shootings? It's US losing this war. High school kids think about sex, cars, money. They don't think about being a mass murderer. Someone is feeding them those thoughts.

Like I've said many times. I'm one of the fortunate ones... I'll be dead before the shyt hits the fan. The wise among the younger generations will either wake up and smell the coffee... or go the way of the dodo bird. Aka... extinct.

Many on here have said I say nothing bad about Trump. Well here goes...

Trump and Obama before him, should have dealt with this growing problem from the middle east. It won't go away, and it won't EVER be what most of the world consider civilized. We get railed at by newspapers, the UN even our own people about 13 civilian deaths over in the middle east. Yet these same SJWs seem to forget the 3000-4000 civilian deaths we suffered... even though they claim to remember it.

WW III is already here folks. Only no one is wearing uniforms. The middle east doesn't fight the way we do. Sort of like what cooler heads in the revolutionary war must have said. The British lost because they REFUSED to see the war for what it was... a different way of fighting. We lost in Nam for the same reason... and we are going to loose this war too, if we don't get our acts together.

Commendable thought... But I would assume they have hardened their centrifuges against something like Stuxnet.

I love you boomer folks who truly think the generations under you are fucked. The crazy of my generation and generation Z are just able to be louder because of social media. I don't think you leave your house or have ever been exposed to actual real young people in your life. There's many Millennials here who are hard working and highly educated both left wing/right wing and radical centrists and most young people are more educated than any generation ever has been and Millennials in the 25-35 age group kind of have a very unique place in history as they are basically the generation that got to see the big paradigm shift in technology and media as they aged into being adults.

But I'm talking to somebody who thinks humans haven't caused the coming climate change crisis.

I don't think the younger generations are fucked because they are stupid. Rather because they refuse to believe what their eyes tell them. I was the same way when I was younger. It took many years to see the NEED to really open my eyes... all the time.

You have all this new tech, and still won't believe what your eyes tell you.

I wonder what "remembrances" are happening in the middle east today?

Kind of like the anthropogenic climate change that Lance mentioned.

I'll give you the vegas shooter and the baseball shooter. The rest, seem mighty suspicious to me.
I'm not falling for the metal illness BS, the heart broken teenager BS etc. Kids are hella easy to influence.
Iirc, Stalin said something along the lines of... I don't have to defeat the US, your children will do it for us. It seems someone has read that and then acted upon it.

I can understand some kid with issues or with a broken heart... getting in a fist fight or even committing suicide. But going from that to "I think I'll just gun down a bunch of classmates", seems like a fairly large stretch to me.

I'm not even too sure about the vegas shooter. He was awful well prepared for someone who was just mentally ill, or w/e HIS issue was.

Yeah even something like a heartbreak or social ostracization can do the trick.

mental illness is "fake news", it's all the muslims....

what an odd take.
