happy to help though: trump's incompetence regarding politics, economics, and diplomacy, as well as his general lack of intelligence, compassion, and decency, are not really relevant concerning his suitability as hate- and fearmonger. if anything, they might make this well established strategy (that he personally certainly didn't mastermind, authoritarians have singled out certain minorities, in order to win stupid and gullible people for their own cause, for centuries) more genuine.

it's not like he CONVINCES people with arguments and a brilliant mind, then we'd have to talk about eloquence and intelligence (things that only a complete fool would even remotely relate to trump) at least. no, he just appeals to irrational fears with lies and simplistic slogans, with dogwhistles and outright racist sentiments. if you seriously think that requires someone to be a master manipulator, you might be even denser than i thought. he merely does what republicans have been doing for ages in a more brazen and unapologetic fashion, and this kind of violence is, like i said, a side effect of that.

really not that hard to understand, but i still seem to overestimate some pardians...
