Illegal immigration is a crime, they are criminals. They need to apply for citizenship the legal way like every other immigrant.

Why? Life isn't fair, let's solve the problem in the most reasonable way possible. Deporting millions is not reasonable.

Life isn't fair isn't justification for breaking the law. Allowing illegal immigrants to live in your country is spitting in the face of immigrants who spent years working hard to get their green cards and eventual citizenship.
