Right, and do your stats include SSI, medicaid,food stamps, emergency food assistance, section 8, HUD, Low income home energy assistance program, and god knows how many other programs?

This. The children shouldn't be punished because of their parents mistakes. I get what you're saying, but it would not work in practice since it would just hurt the innocent children who can't help the fact they were born. Welfare is a necessity in any society since there will always be those who are in need of assistance.

Take the kids way from the parents then. Do anything but give the parent money or resources when they can't go out and contribute to society for what they need. Open up soup kitchens. Feed the kids but don't give the parents anything. Let private charities feed the kids. There has to be a million options I can't think of other than use my tax money to support a woman who deliberately has babies to get my money.

So you'd take the kids away from the parents and put them in foster homes or other facilities where they will be separated from their siblings and placed with strangers. You realize the cost of doing that alone would make your tax dollars most likely increase? There are already so many kids in foster care without your "solution" to welfare. It also sounds like a worse situation for the kids to be in than the original situation.

Yea those 12 kids in the motel room were in a great situation. Those kids were DOOMED.

If a situation gets bad then obviously cps would step in, however, the vast majority of cases on welfare are not similar to what you're referring to. Your fix would most likely do more harm than good. The only real long-term solution I see is proper education. And the problem with that is education in inner cities schools is not good.
