I was in no way violent toward anyone, nor was I harming myself in any way. And when asked if I had thoughts of hurting myself or others I told them a clear NO.

Well, TBH there was something wrong with me. I was kidnapped and beaten while under the influence of mushrooms in around 2007~. I suffered from PTSD and was dissociating in the presence of perceived threats.

The thread is about whether we are truly free. And if one man with a licence can have you detained for up to 72 hours without appeal on the grounds of silence, how can you claim we are truly free?

The definition of psychotic episode is cultural. Dissociation is not necessarily psychotic; I understand your perspective, but only I know if I'm a danger to myself or others. I'm telling you that I felt very good and in no way wanted to harm myself. Or others. I just wanted to be left alone.

...no , it is a medical term . What you tell me now about how you felt at the time has no bearing on what witnesses were seeing , all they can go on is how you are presenting . I am curious as to another episode you introduced regarding your most recent hospitalization because it is not an uncommon occurrence - how do you justify running around ringing your neighbor's doorbells ?

I wanted someone to talk to. I don't remember why. It's not like I was harassing anyone; I knocked on 3 or 4 doors before giving up. They were all people I knew. How do you contact your neighbors?

So you admit that all they have to go on is how I am presenting. And thus, poor presentation is grounds for institutionalization in America. That's the opposite of freedom. If I was in India - a much more free place than America - like I should have been they would have left me alone after they realized I didn't want to be bothered.
