LOL!

I doubt you are more conservative then this guy.

You think I would do that?!? I'm not into politics like that.

Everyone is my bud, until they have wronged me.

Yeah, spent some time with anarchists though, tried all of the flavors, they don't cope well with reality.

I'll ask him, but its doubtful. He doesnt have a facebook, though his face is constantly buried in a book. Quoted from a recent email : "I'm reading Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France (1790) and Thomas Carlyle's Sartor Resartus (1843, something like that), both conservative classics."

Honestly, I think his conservatism is mostly reactionary to those allies of commies, muslims and feminists. He calls them orcs, though.

Tell him to read Oswald Spengler if he hasn't already.

he read Spengler a few months back. He told me a bit about it. Seems like Spengler was wrong on China, to me at least, though I cant say I've personally read The Decline of The West. Didn't he also suggest something about nordic pagan spirituality being informed by the flora specific to the region? Or maybe it was just the tree's. I like this, but I may be off base. Forgive me, I've not slept much.

If I had to classify it I'd say I am anti-authoritarian, socially anti-elitist, extremely liberal (in a literal sense, not an "MSNBC" sense), etc. as it relates to how I would craft policy but personally I'm a pretty conservative person -- I like my beer cold, my homos not a-huggin'-and-a-kissin' on each other, I think Do the Right Thing is worst than the Holocaust. Etc.

I voted for Romney in '12 as a result of extreme pragmatic compromise and still have reservations about it.

I'm all over the map. I like certain ideas from each and the rest I could care less for.

Abortion should be heavily regulated.
Males should have equality when it comes to children
Marriage should be kept religious, however states should recognize domestic partnerships and give tax breaks to LBGT couples.
Commander and Chief should have served in the military, either commissioned or noncommissioned. How are you to lead a military if you have no clue what the military is?
Professional Sport players / actors / actresses / Hollywood should be regulated on paychecks. They only contibute to the less fortunate for huge tax breaks.
Dropping bombs at the cost of tax payers is better for society than dropping the life of a citizen.
Humanitarians in 3rd world countries are a joke. Take care of the problems at home first.

Reactionary ultra-nationalist.

I also oppose the cultural cyanide of feminism.

I happen to be drifting to this position as well. And anti-Zionism and anti-multiculturalism is growing in me every day.

I used to be a "do what you like" libertarian. Now, while I still respect the rights of people to do what they like, marry gays, have abortions, etc. I feel it is more necessary now to stress my extreme disapproval of these practices. Acceptance is completely different from approval, and everyday I become more and more unwilling to accept these things.

My limited government mentality, fading due to the lack of respect the concept receives, is the only thing preventing me from supporting bans on gay rights, abortion and things of that issue. If the feminists keep it up, I'll eventually lobby to have rape reclassified as a misdemeanor.
