I view it more as 40 people murdered by people who certainly shouldn't have had a weapons as such.

I'm against weapons for any other purpose than hunting.

You can make whatever argument you want, I don't really care. If it weren't for my girlfriend's family living in the US I'd never set foot there again.

This is your domestic issue, but from an outside point-of-view, you look retarded.

Gun Control works just fine here, as I'm sure it does it most countries that have implemented it.

And a bushmaster is a hunting rifle.
Most countries do not have 300,000,000 people who were given gun ownership as a right.
I am not american.

the big problem is that american gun addicts believe that gun control equals gun prohibition, must be something religious
plenty people in countries with quite stringent gun control have legally guns (including some prohibited in the usa)

Honestly. The strength of our Constitution is that it is flexible. We can change and modify our Constitution as our times change. The Second Amendment as written is vague.
It is referencing a time that no longer is relevant, as our times and technology has changed. When the Second Amendment was written, the thought of a repeating musket was
a simple pipe dream. You would have to have several barrels lined up and fire them off in succession. Now, there are rifles that can fire faster than a person can count.
Therefore it might seem logical to outline our rights for today. Honestly there is no need to have a 30 round magazine, if you are out hunting. Really.
You should be a sufficient marksman that you can drop your target with one shot. Even if you own your firearms for personal protection, what is the benefit of having
a room full of guns? The point is, is that there should be some guns that we as Americans simply do not need to own. We do not need to own Assault rifles, or military grade hardware.
We have no need for anti-aircraft or rocket launchers.

That is why I suggest a new second amendment that spells out that we are permitted to purchase, as well as the types of weapons that we are not allowed to purchase.

Well, you got that part right. The whole point is that governing according to public attitudes and perceptions (the very thing you make your living doing) is fucking stupid. Like you. Where's your math now?

Except that no one is "governing according to perceptions." Officeholders give their electorate what they want, just as they were intended to do. I know in your little bubble-verse fantasy land that government is supposed to work differently, where the person that holds hilariously-narrow opinions should have their fringe views rectified because officeholders "should just do what's right," but that's not how we do things in reality. Again, when you've shown repeatedly that for whatever reason you're incapable of discussing or even acknowledging data-driven findings why would I exert any time or effort providing those things for you?

If you want math then go back to school. At least then you might understand it when it's presented to you.

The fuck if you aren't. Gun control is a prime example. The public (erroneously) perceives a major threat due to guns, and the Democrats can't fall over themselves fast enough to do something (wholly ineffectual at that) about it. Then along comes people like you, with your "data-driven findings" (your precious polls) telling your masters the public wants something done, whether it's right or not. You're a useful idiot.

As a side note to my brother, I think I've found the voice to read Jay's posts in: Smeegle.

It is partially due to guns, as Dr Lott proved in his papers. There is certainly a link between abortion and falling crime, but there's also a link between removing lead from gasoline and falling crime. There isn't a single driving factor. Regardless, my point stands. Liberals in general are painfully unaware that crime, and notably gun crime has fallen sharply and they continue to push gun control legislation.

You've really lost it.
