I took a special topics class for my bio major years back and we talked about when is a person considering "alive," and at which point is an abortion taking a life.

I joked and said that a person is truly alive at first memory thus an abortion can be morally done at age 4 with no repercussions...

people took me srsly...

there are cultures that believe that, or at least something similar (not alive/human until you have reached a certain age).

I agree with it. There are thought exercises that demonstrate his correctness as well.

It goes along with the limits of human reason.
