It says in that article that insurgents destroyed the electrical infrastructure and that the US has been rebuilding and getting things back on line.

Nope, but how much of those problems were already problems under Hussein?

At least your spelling coincides with your opinons, though.

That's actually how you spell "grammar".

edit: crap, double post. Meant to have both quotes in a post.

Yes my opinions and facts are all made up. You know everythign from your home. You're a fucking idiot. I am in iraqi kurdistan right now you moron. And yes they have a completely seperate government. They don't even let Iraqis not from Kurdistan into Arbil. I've spoken with Kurds, I'm friends with Kurds here, I know Iraqi arabs as well. If you were in Iraq you might realise the tension between them. It's obvious Iraq has every intension of using the firepower we have given them to take kurdistan back once we leave.

But hey I'm sure the 5 minutes you spent googling makes you a subject matter expert, you fucking idiot.

Can you speak Farsi or Arabic? What's your mother tongue? I'm not even familiar with what the locals speak there, I might be missing a language or an important dialect. .

I personally agree and don't think we should have ever invaded Iraq. My broader point, however, is that the cultural response to problems there seems to be a large contributing factor to the state of the nation, and while infrastructure problems certainly have a degree of influence, I'd have to say that I trust the words of someone who is over there far more than I trust anything I read on Google/Wikipedia/Etc.

yeah, you might be right to trust someone who joined the military for the intellectual stimulus
especially since he was old enough at the time of invasion to fully understand what went on :P

/add

but since you mentioned 'google' i used my search engine and came across the following and i wonder what it means:

Di hevpeyvîna dawî de ku me berî nêzîka 3 salan ligel we çêkir, me tekezî li ser Iraqê kir.
Dema Mijdarê li wir bûm, dadgehkirina 150 serkirdeyên Kurd ku hinek ji wan kesên bi nav û deng in, wek Serokê Şaredariya Bajarê Mezin ê Amedê Osman Baydemîr, birêveçû. Çalakvan ne kesên tund bûn û tometên wan bê wate bûn. Lê hatibûn tometbarkirin û bi baweriya min niha hatiye paşxistin û dibe hikûmet nexwaze pêdagir be li ser cîbicîkirina tometan. Bi awayekî giştî, pêngav berbi pêş hatine avêtin, astekî pêşkeftinê hatiye bidestxistin. Hikûmeta Tirkiyê têkiliyên xwe ligel hikûmetên Îran û Sûriyê baştir kir, lê qasî ku dizanim vê yekê bandor li ser rewşa gelê Kurd wek kêmjimarekê li van welatan, nekiriye. Rêyeke dirêj maye bê qutkirin, lê li gor min pêngavên ciddî bo pêş hatine avêtin û otonomiya rêjeyî ku Kurdên bakurê Iraqê bidestve anîn berdewamî da van pêngavan û derfet peyde kiriye ku divê bê bikaranîn.

It's just Kurdish, Sorani, Kurmance, Badini w.e

I'm Kurdish and MyEnemy knows his stuff, ofcourse we deserve our own country, will we ever get it? Probably not. It'll cause a lot of chaos between Turkey and Kurdistan.
We're a lot different from the arabs, we've got everything from a flag to our cuisine, but due too some stupid democratic decision made a hundred years ago we didn't get our own nation.

Don't judge us because we're middle-eastern, Kurds have fought side by side with American militants, I've spoken too a lot of american soldiers myself, some assholes but many good ones.

Anyways, nice too see a topic about it once in a while.

another totally uneducated statement
maybe that comment about you being brainwashed (and thereby not being able to think clearly) made by someone else is true
iraqi kurdistan (which is only a small part of kurdistan) has been a semi-autonomous area for some time (prior to the last invasion)
and beyond being semi-autonomous they do not have a government seperate from iraq
have a guess: did the kurds vote in the iraqi election?
your statement is just a s logical as saying that the us army will conquer texas or puerto rico

just in case you do not know
there are twice as many kurds in turkey than in iraq
and roughly the same number of kurds in iran as there are in iraq
and there are plenty in syria and some other countries

what will the declaration of an independent kurdish state do for regional politics?

(note: why is the northern part of iraq looking nicer than the rest? maybe less bombing by foreign nations?)

good somebody know some shit about reality the only reason why they got local goverment they faked their numbers in iraq made fake houses and one of tv in turkey showed all those houses which didnt even had toilet just walls and roof oh btw why dont you come my city istanbul and see what the fuck they are ? or you can go berlin too more kurds going berlin than turks
