Heinous act of a few? THOUSANDS of cases. TENS OF THOUSANDS.
My side doesn't use it's basis of existence as a manipulation tool to abuse children. Simple.
Also, don't confuse it as just being manipulation of a child. It is also abuse of people in general. How many struggling people are giving up their money they need to appease this religion? You think I enjoyed sitting in church while my single dad, who worked 3 jobs, was putting $50 into the basket while I was at home heating up dried mashed potatoes from a bag?
Religion is a predatory scam. I bet you have not given up your worldy possessions to help the poor and sick (Luke 12:33). I bet you also have different feelings about immigrants.
Religion is not only a scam, it is hypocrisy. Only fools fall for it.
Your side absolutely does. Encouraging children to mutilate themselves. Discussing sex in school with children at young ages, a subject that should be at the parents discretion. Pride flags in public schools (a subject explicitly about sex and gender).
You have no idea of what charitable actions I have done. "Don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing" Matthew 6:3. I have made contributions, but I am not going to get on here and "humble brag" about any specifics.
Again, even if it's thousands, that's still few compared to millions. Do you know how ratios work? I'm not justifying anything. You seem to lack a grasp on what the word "few" means. You can say a "few" is too many and I would also agree.
If you wanted to address maybe the politics of say The Catholic Church, I'd probably agree with you on how poorly it was handled to be honest.
Also, since you want to be a moral arbiter about my contributions, what have you done for these abused children you're so passionate about other than get on a 20 year old gaming forum and cry about it? If you have done something, I commend you, but if not, don't act like you're any better than anyone else. The simple conclusion of your logic is that anyone who has not actively tried to help a problem can't complain about it.
