more importantly democrats realize running an unpopular candidate is a losing strategy. seems obvious, but after Kamala/Waltz ran in 2024 you just never know. personally i hope they run a somali in his place, just to virtue signal themselves into a really funny place.
A year and a half ago they
believed Tim Walz was a popular candidate. Remember, picking a VP from a safe blue state is cutting against the grain, they chose him over more tactical swing state governors because Tim Walz was calculated to appeal to suburban white families as the liberal ideal of the 'soccer dad'. They played him up as 'coach walz' and had him pose hunting, both images dropped afterwards. Walz was chosen over VPs who could deliver a state and major power brokers and experienced national figures, all out of a belief in his electability. Today he can't even win an election for garbageman in Minnesota because we actually want our trash picked up and by the lowest bidder not piled up outside our house as he gets $10000 per year per fake address
Again as I've said a few times we're as far from an election as possible but democrats aren't on life support, they are being chopped up and shipped around the country to cornea transplant recipients
