Atheism is the copium of telling yourself "none of the bad stuff I do matters" and then wondering why their lives go to shit

I would hope that the number of Catholics here is higher given that the name of the website is Diablo 2 jsp.

I was raised Catholic(religion) studied Buddhism(philosophy), Hinduism(religion), and a mixture of every "religious group" you listed and then probably a dozen or so lesser known Swamis, Mystics, Gurus, and Ascetic monks.

I now practice a philosophy called "Vedanta" but even within people who call themselves "Vedantist" people vary on certain sub-sets within the same "belief system" I lean towards Non-dualism/Advaita.

Swami Vivekananda in particular is the "Hindu monk" who brought all "Eastern thought" to the "West". Had he never made the journey to America we wouldn't have experienced the "Yoga/Peace/Love" movement of the 60's. He was the actual SOURCE of how that knowledge(Hinduism/Buddhism/Daoism/Taoism/Atheism/Agnosticism/etc.) moved because he physically traveled to America and gave a famous speech at the "Parliament of World Religions" in Chicago. You will not see him get the credit he deserves for that hence why I named my username after him.

People who studied all religions and means of worship/methods of "realizing God" or "self" or inquired further then you have will subsequently know more in terms of the grasp of something as "abstract" as religion.

Though "God" is called by many names and is associated with many things. God does not exist. God is an illusion of the mind. The mind an illusion of the ego and thus a "fantasy". God is simply existence itself. Human beings simply cant admit their "ego" and the "fantasies in their head" aren't real at all. This is where someone like Vivekananda shattered the Abrahamic faiths with LOGIC alone because the "stories" made about this "god" can all only be "experienced/believed" where? The mind. What is the mind? The mental mechanism of the human being, but it is a function of the human being. Therefore we use the mind to dissolve the ego(that's the irony of it all you yourself have to walk the path no one can do it for you so don't expect to realize some profound "thing" through anything other then your "self". This is why Jesus said through me all come to know the "Father" because through "YOU" as this "name you were given/born upon this Earth" will come to know "GOD" i.e merge back with existence itself through the MIND and IMAGERY created by the mind.

Buddha called this "samcocha" or the "tension in the mind" the "suffering" why? You create a physical pain/pull to something that is an ILLUSION.

If you tell someone "they don't exist" and that "God alone exists" they'll look at you like you are a retard but people who seek God know that the "image" "name" is all FAKE. Even the words themselves and language itself a barrier to the realization of God.

There is no "separation" with existence only the "MIND" and "EGO" make it so. You always were one with "God". You are with God now. The only thing separating you from it is your THOUGHTS. That's the thing about religion it's not suppose to tell you anything it is suppose to reveal something to yourself aka the Revelation. Isn't necessarily good or bad either.

Vivekananda wanted to bridge the Abrahamic FAITH with the hard logic/science found in Hinduism/Buddhism/etc. because as he said it. The people in the EAST know that they are God and because they do they are spiritually lazy but the people in the WEST know that they are NOT God and so they are spiritually driven because they fear what they do not know. "Ignorance is bliss".

The average person in the West has no concept of "God" outside of the "Abrahamic world view" and therefore gets caught up in terms/groupings like the ones you mentioned. Not blaming you just wanted to explain why I didn't vote.
