Look at this absolute clusterfuck of a map:

I guess the deeper lesson is that you can't expect to win an election with a third of the vote against a splintered field while everyone else hates you so much that they'll coordinate to shut you out.
But this anti-RN tactic is built on sand, once the RN begins to poll in the low 40s nationally, this strategy will break down. And make no mistake: the RN in the 40s is the inevitable outcome of a Frankenstein coalition between the Macronites and the left.

Almost as much different colors than Bundestag but anyway... Colors everywhere ! It's clustefuck ! It's Burning ! Not Good !
At this rate you are a Goonshill multi in 1-2 years.

Macron should nominate a far right prime minister so we could have a laugh  I hope he will but they may refuse.

The establishment shamelessly manipulated the elections, hundreds of delegates were pulled out of the race just to force voters to pick a candidate they would normally never vote for and the result is that both extreme left and extreme right have dramatically increased their seats.

Macron got completely wrecked and here you are trying to sell that as a win, lol

BTW here's that Le Pen gif that you posted again, it's from 2017 but actually quite fitting, I bet she's laughing real hard right now and Macron is the one crying his eyes out

crushed, smashed, anihilated, disintegrated, pulverised, dematerialized. shattered, shredded, crumbled, minced, reduced, milled, powdered, chopped

It is difficult to separate the rights from the lefts in the French Caliphate when they all look like vegetable warehouse shop assistants.

the RN still had by far the most votes, over 10 million to 6,9 million left wing votes

but they didnt win as many seats

A multiparty first-past-the-post system with delayed and potentially multiparty runoffs is just an abomination.

The RN only lost this election relative to unrealistic expectations which were built on a questionable premise to begin with. At the end of the day, the EU-sceptics from the left and right fringes have made huge gains in this election; it also strengthens the Hamasniks. (Just look at all the Palestine flags which were waved in Paris last night as the Left celebrated their victory with some obligatory riots. ^_^ ) The neoliberal establishment in Paris and Brussels avoided the worst-case scenario, but this outcome has to be the second-worst possible scenario from their POV.

Aside from the difficulty forming an... ANY government out of this result, this election marks another milestone in the ongoing erosion of France's political middle. With this result, the specter of a Le Pen - Melenchon runoff in the 2027 presidential election has become significantly more likely.
