If they are not relevant, why is the US sending weapons to them?
Why would the Biden administration go out of its way to send weapons to an overt Nazi organization?

They aren't relevant politically, but they are relevant militarily. The Biden administration is going to send them weapons because they are defending Ukraine. Obviously keeping Ukraine in the fight is more important strategically than withholding weapons from shady characters in Ukraine.

As a political unit, they are not relevant. I think I made that clear the last time we discussed the issue.

This is obviously a red herring for people who oppose America's support for Ukraine in their struggle against the genocidal Russians. Why focus on the Azov battalion? Make the argument as to why the Russian military should be free to rape, torture, and murder the Ukrainian populace because opposing that is against US interests. That's the real issue, isn't it? Don't hide behind these weird side issues.

Edit -

Also worth mentioning, Ukraine is led by a Jew. His behavior since the invasion has been heroic and he's recognized for that on the world stage. The idea that we need to be worried about some military battalion that has swastika tattoos is kind of ludicrous. It's clearly fringe in Ukraine, but it echoes the ridiculous Russian propaganda of "denazification".

So you're repeating Russian propaganda. Congrats.

Beautiful. A hero recognizing another hero.

This almost 100 year old veteran has a much more accurate understanding of this conflict than the Trumpists here.

For one, Yuriy Sodol was just removed from his lt general position after Azov's commander directed Zelensky to do so. That doesn't sound like a politically irrelevant group to me

For two, besides it being common knowledge the right sector / azov represent a large political interest in ukraine, its self evident. There is no such thing as a heavily armed partisan group in a wartorn country with an unstable government (zelensky banned another political group and seized their assets as he continues to stay in office without elections). Most us proxy conflicts end with collapses ally governments. We pay Azov and the right wing to fight under Zelensky's regime, they are willing to do so as long as we run the show. The minute western support drops, who takes over in a power vacuum? Ive said since the beginning this is what happens when you arm ANY group let alone ultranationist Nazis. What happened the last time Ukraines government reached critical instability? Azov and Right Sector led the Maidan mob and overthrew the government once already, I'm not Nostradamus for predicting what will happen if Ukraine collapses again.

For three, don't tell me people who tattoo swastikas on their body, do hitler salutes and wave nazi flags aren't nazis. Nazis are easy to spot because they really want the world to know they are Nazis. You're just telling us not to believe our lying eyes. They regularly post videos with Nazi symbols onto western media. You know, sites banned in Russia. So that whole "russian disinformation" line is even more paranoid than russiaburger

Someone should look up the definition of a Nazi

Contemporary right wing nationalists are everywhere., and none of them are Nazi.
