It hasn't begun because he hasn't been sentenced. Ya'll keep moving the goalpost. First it was he wouldn't even be indicted, then he was. Then it was he'd get out of court, then he didn't. Then it was that it would be a hung jury or not guilty, then he was found guilty on all 34 counts. Now it will be that he'll win appeal. When he doesn't, then it will be that he'll only serve half time of whatever he is sentenced.

It's also worth noting that when the goalposts get moved so far, there's no real acknowledgement of the previous facts.
So, Trump supporters can acknowledge he had sex with a pornstar when his wife was home after recently having his kid, they can acknowledge he had his team of scumbags pay the woman off to hide the story from the American people during the presidential campaign, they can acknowledge Trump paid back the scumbag lawyer by falsifying business records, but they think the way the New York DA turned that supposed misdemeanor into a felony is the real scandal here!
It's very similar to other Trump scandals(Russiagate, Ukraine, etc). Ignore horrendous behavior and pivot to some new argument. The only principle of his cultists is to defend the leader.
