If a conventional ww3 happens within the next 80-100 years there is no alternative but the USA being on the victorious side. After that its up for debate.


It's an efficient strategy on Russia's part, even if very immoral (convicts are not likely to have military discipline & obey the laws of war).

Win-win for Russia - they get to get rid of their convicts & free up prison space, whilst avoiding drafting too many members of the civilian populace

I generally agree, but profit is not a fitting adjective for Russia's forever war.

There is also something to be said for low quality troops. But if your sending meat waves against Bakhmut for example, I guess it doesn't matter.
