Pretty much every first world country doesnt have the death penalty.
Of course you are trying to defend a third world country and wouldnt know any better due to your ignorance
I got a better solution. Defendants on death row pay out of their own pocket to defend themselves, set up a go fund me campaign if they think they are innocent. There no more burden on the tax payer and those that really sympathise can pay.
Once the guilty realise it won't be that easy to defend themselves and no ability to abuse the law then it will be much cheaper and faster.
Because at the moment we are forced to pay for people who deserve the needle to extend and exploit the legal system.
Death penalty isn't the issue like so many leftoids screaming about. Its the fact that it costs more money to come to the same verdict. That's the real crime.

You hear yourself, right?

wat
You are skipping around the reason why death penalty exists in the first place. It's the highest form of punishment. Remove the death penalty and criminals are less afraid. Just look at all the blm looters who grab billions worth of products and property damage while bystanders just watch and take pictures. Have we not seen crime go up exponentially in cities with the Defund the police campaigns the woke tried to instill?
My argument still holds because having tougher laws insures less crimes committed and therefore less costs to the taxpayer. Would you rather pay $10million in tax for one case or $100million for 100 cases @ $1m each?
Leftoids are sitting on the decision panels and purposefully siderailling the process to incur more taxpayers money. Oh look we just spend a lot of money to prove that the defendant is guilty beyond shadow of a doubt. Let's instead of voting to put them to sleep and end this case let's instead give them life and further spend additional millions to keep them locked up. Then we can brag about how death penalty statistics cost more money by being directly responsible for those very costs.
This bill will reduce the costs dramatically while preserving tougher laws.
BTW I too would like to see this law be made redundant but there is a lot of crime in US that need tougher laws so while crude and maybe barbaric it is necessary for the forseable future.
