That's because it's the most extreme case. I mean we can look at a bunch of southern cities, from states crossbones highlighted and you'll literally find the same pattern. Chicago is just worst of the worst because of it's size and how badly violent crime is.

Again… not a red vs blue state thing. Whether it’s blue state or red these still mostly happen in the inner cities, which are overwhelmingly blue most of the time.

And per capita is generally a good way to look at stats but it’s breaks down sometimes when it comes to looking at smaller sample sizes. Chicago is a really big city and exemplifies the decay of the inner city.

In sheer numbers, its also HUGE people forget chicago has a population of 2.7 million, its the third largest city in the usa.
If you look at per capita murder rates it drops heavily down the list.

I didn't know that because I am not from the States.
I just checked and look at the population per city in the States.

And I am very very surprised. For a large city like Chicago the population at 2.7 Million is very tiny from my perspective.

Melbourne in Victoria has 5 Million .

I am so heavily into the drill scene i can tell you which gangs are responsible for which homicides, what songs relate to them and what they were in revenge for.
Some of these homicides are in a chain leading back 20 deaths to a single song.
Lil jojo's "bdk" lead to at least 20 deaths including his own, fbg ducks "dead bitches" saw him dead within 3 days, King von's "took her to the O" lead to a bunch of deaths too.

This gang culture is literally just kill anyone you can on the enemy block then write a song about it, the opps will spin your block and kill one of your friends over it and write a song about that then you have to get get back.
If they can't get you then they will get a cousin, a sibling, a parent, your manager or producer, anyone they can.

This culture is what needs to be tackled, but how?
These kids leave school because a school bus is a great place to ambush an enemy.



Yeah but australia only really has 3 large cities and most of our country is uninhabitable so nice coastal areas are heavily populated.

I studied and stayed in Melbourne , best city ever down south in my opinion.
Stayed at La Trobe Street and also at Lygon.

The Italian food in Lygon is second to non and the 24 hour souvlaki is godly.

Please tell me again about the causes of inner cities and how it was actually welfare and not any of the policies you want to ignore.
