Of course 'more if there'

these people are as you say using their influence to make a bunch of money for themselves, boo fucking hoo.

The difference between Trump and Hunter is that Hunter hasnt been forced to shut down charities because of fraud, his companies havent recently been fined millions of dollars, he didnt try to start an insurrection, Hunter isnt a known grifter or otherwise nearly that of trump. Hunter last week didnt say he was going to get arresteds then beg people for money and then not get arrested.. hunters companies arent getting fined for 250million dollars by NYG. Hunter isnt trying to dismiss a 250 million dolalr lawsuit saying 'I did the fraud but its outside of the statute of limitations so I should go free" Hunter Biden didnt declare bankruptcy like 10 times just to take advantage whole heartedly of the system.

Hunter isn't a notorious grifter? Are you on drugs? He's a dead-beat crack addict who abandoned his own child and has spent the better part of the last two decades trading influence for money in some of the shadiest parts of the world.

I don't have time to read your lazy whataboutism. If what you're saying is that "Ok, Biden is terribly corrupt, but Trump is worse!", then you've conceded the thread and OP has won. It's time for you to the moral thing, drop both, and vote DeSantis.

Yes, I think Joe strikes a lot of people as the sort of person with no other marketable skills who would rely on influence peddling to support his family. This is a man derided by Obama and Robert Gates as a moron. I mean, in most cases, it's not even illegal. Joe is a well known plagiarist, what moral scruples do you imagine him to have? James Biden's exploits in that arena have been well documented for decades, and on Hunter, even the Obama administration was deeply concerned over his Ukrainian escapades. I think we end up at one of two places, either the evidence is wrong, and Joe isn't involved, but merely so dumb, naive, and otherwise oblivious as to disqualify him for public office; or Biden himself has always been perfectly ok with it, put his family first and drew the water from the well.

I would contrast this with the story of Trump making a "killing", as in some thousands of dollars of his ownership of a hotel near the White House. Does anyone seriously believe, aside from Thor, that this was a serious source of influence over a man worth several billion? It beggars belief, and yet establishment media outfits diligently carried the story as some sort of smoking gun. Which brings us back to the original sin here. If this story really is so light weight and easily explained away, then diligent reporting would no doubt expose the right-wing fraud. But as with the Hunter Biden laptop, they won't touch the story even to disprove it. And as with the Hunter Biden story, the logical explanation is of course that they fear more is there.

Loving living rent free in your head.

Also loving how bidens son getting a million dollars is contrasted with Trump getting hundreds of thousands at his hotel while a multi billion dollar investment is mentioned just a few posts up.

Really highlights how intentional your cherry picking is

Is Kushner Trump? Is Saudi Arabia the same as China? Is an investment (i.e. money which must be returned to the giver) the same as a cash bribe?

In any event, contrast the media handling of Kushner's Saudi investment with Biden's cash payouts. It's the subject of a House inquiry and received widespread media attention, and rightfully so, the optics are horrific. Democrats should celebrate the opportunity to give Biden the same treatment and prove their anti-corruption bonafides. It's really unfortunate that this is how it's playing out.

This is fantastic. Two threads simultaneously showing that as long as the “good guys” do something it is no big deal.

These people are in a cult.

Joe Biden is a successful politician who was Vice President, so obviously he could've retired and made a lot of money sitting on boards and giving speeches. And you don't have to be a genius in order to be a good politician, which he obviously is. Also, I hate to constantly compare people to Trump, but I think Biden is his intellectual superior(clearly an absurdly low bar), and Biden obviously understands policy more.

Biden has been in the media spotlight since his late 20's... you think he's been secretly grifting with foreign actors for decades and we just now found out in 2020 because of a couple emails from his son's laptop? Again, how does it make any sense that Joe, who knows his son is a druggie fuckup, would risk his public credibility for a few shekels?

Second, I've yet to see any evidence of Biden being involved in anything beyond a vague reference in an email and perhaps meeting with some Ukrainian businessmen with his son.

This isn't even a partisan defense... I'm open to the idea that Biden is corrupt, but based on the available evidence, it's clear he's not.

Both Biden and Trump is intelligent.

That being said Trump is ahead of Biden in that Intelligence department.

My comment has got nothing to do with their policies or how they present themselves in public . It is a very straightforward observation.
