Yes, I think Joe strikes a lot of people as the sort of person with no other marketable skills who would rely on influence peddling to support his family. This is a man derided by Obama and Robert Gates as a moron. I mean, in most cases, it's not even illegal. Joe is a well known plagiarist, what moral scruples do you imagine him to have? James Biden's exploits in that arena have been well documented for decades, and on Hunter, even the Obama administration was deeply concerned over his Ukrainian escapades. I think we end up at one of two places, either the evidence is wrong, and Joe isn't involved, but merely so dumb, naive, and otherwise oblivious as to disqualify him for public office; or Biden himself has always been perfectly ok with it, put his family first and drew the water from the well.
Joe Biden is a successful politician who was Vice President, so obviously he could've retired and made a lot of money sitting on boards and giving speeches. And you don't have to be a genius in order to be a good politician, which he obviously is. Also, I hate to constantly compare people to Trump, but I think Biden is his intellectual superior(clearly an absurdly low bar), and Biden obviously understands policy more.
Biden has been in the media spotlight since his late 20's... you think he's been secretly grifting with foreign actors for decades and we just now found out in 2020 because of a couple emails from his son's laptop? Again, how does it make any sense that Joe, who knows his son is a druggie fuckup, would risk his public credibility for a few shekels?
Second, I've yet to see any evidence of Biden being involved in anything beyond a vague reference in an email and perhaps meeting with some Ukrainian businessmen with his son.
This isn't even a partisan defense... I'm open to the idea that Biden is corrupt, but based on the available evidence, it's clear he's not.
