The freedom to work is the greatest freedom of all. We are part of a long lineage of life that has formed in this vast universe, surviving all kinds of threats to our existence, and thankfully we have pulled through so we can work up to 48 hours a week before age 18. Is there no greater calling than to be part of an economy?
open philosophical question, do you know or know of any person who has no job (not a stay at home parent) that lives a "good" existence to your eye?
i know terminally unemployed poor people who are dependents on their parents, friends, and partners. and i know spoiled rich kids who are leeches but also insufferable.
overall can a life of worklessness lead to a "good" existence? whatever good means to you.
