The activism didn't start the last few months, its been there for a while. Again it's impossible to pin point why exactly it was happening and is continuing to happen but safe to say it's not all on the virus.


ESPN has been hemorrhaging views and money for quite a while. They're one of the hardest hit by cable cutting because they're included and a significant portion of pretty much every cable package.

TNT is another network hit hard by cord cutters (as is TBS, who I believe has carried NBA playoff games for a while).

Perhaps it's the teams this season. The GSWs have a down year, Kahwi plays for a team no one has ever, or will ever, care about, the east is devoid of superstars outside of Giannis, the Rockets are atrocious to watch, etc.
