Yes, polling from one or two weeks ago, when memory of the Hamas attack was still fresh while the Israeli operation in Gaza hadn't really picked up yet, showed stronger levels of support for Israel. But as the memories of the Hamas attack fade while stories and pictures about the misery in Gaza keep piling up, it seems safe to assume that opinion will move back to its pre-10/7 levels.


and now you're just gonna pretend like you didn't try to sneak HAMAS in there, suggesting half of democrats support terrorists, rather than what it actually says, that they are sympathetic to a people living under illegal occupation and in an apartheid system. you're such a hack, lol...

Just to reiterate an earlier point, there are two different ways to protect the civilians in Gaza: either Israel stops its campaign without destroying/crippling Hamas, OR Hamas surrenders unconditionally.

So yes, anyone who calls for a ceasefire instead of a Hamas surrender is de facto taking a pro-Hamas position. No, this does (of course!) not imply condoning the massacre and terrorist attacks, but it is a pro-Hamas position nonetheless.

you only need to be a decent human to call for a ceasefire. calling for peace isn't pro terrorism at all.

Calling for peace would be calling for Hamas to release the hostages and turn themselves in.

Calling for a unilateral ceasefire is supporting Hamas.

Did America need to bomb 10,000 civilians in Pakistan when they went in to get Bin Laden? No special forces trained for these terrorists / terrorism attacks.

Calling for a ceasefire to deescalate the humanitarian crisis should be as important as getting hostages.

Hamas isn't a single person or small gang unit. Hamas is the entire government of the Gaza strip.

It's like saying instead of declaring war on Germany, why didn't Britain just send in the commandos to get Hitler?

No ceasefire or pause until the hostages are released is crystal clear.

A peace in which the terrorists will be spared and their structures left intact will not last. Those who are calling for this kind of peace might not be explicitly pro-terrorism, but their naive position fosters further terrorism down the line.
