I disagree. Cops don't see anyone that obeys the law, goes to work, is clean cut, etc., as any more of a threat than anyone else that behaves the same way.
We need to keep in mind that cops works the same areas, day after day. They learn the people in those areas.

On top of all that, cops have excellent technical gear. They can pul up a person's entire history in a second.

You love posting Chris Rock, how about you listen for a little while longer and find all of the times he talks about being targeted for being a black guy. All the times he gets pulled over for a tail light being out when his tail light is obviously not out

You been watching too many movies bro.

Lots of folks get pulled over for fixit tickets. Hell, I was pulled over for fixit tickets 10 times or so. I didn't agree with some of them, but they were all valid.

/e A lot depends on the State you are in as well. States with inspections, don't have as many fixit pullovers.

/ee I'll tell ya a state you don't want to speed in. That would be Indiana. I swear they have the fastest cop cars, I've ever seen. :)

your (made up) anecdotal evidence does not invalidate the well documented facts about racial profiling and prejudice in policing, boomer.

Would you agree that fix-it ticket encounters should mirror the demographics of the driving population? If they don't, would you support an investigation as to WHY?

Fixit tickets are just that. They don't pull you over unless they see something broken or not up to State codes.

I think Santara has an old warrant out for his arrest in Indiana.

Should they? It depends on whether the various demographic groups are committing infractions at the same rate.

It's pretty dumb to get upset that cops aren't going around predominately white suburbs arresting people at random when crime is only ever reported a handful of times per year.

I was driving cross country on I80. SF to Pittsburgh. Generally you can speed once you leave Cali, and don't really have to slow down until Ohio.
Generally cops will leave you alone, IF you don't speed near a lot of on and off ramps.

I was in Indiana, dead flat, straight road for at least 10 miles. I was doing about 105mph in a bottom of the line Toyota 2wd pickup. Ofc I was watching for cops.

Anyways, I could see at least 10 miles back in rear view mirror. I noticed a tiny spec, WAY back on the horizon. It took THREE seconds for that spec to blow by me. He had to be doing about 180mph easy.
It wasn't another 3 seconds and he was gone from in front of me.

Needless to say, I slowed down. He was obviously pointing out, that compared to him, I was standing still. :D

That's false and it happens more often than it should. What should the consequences be for the cop if they lie about pulling you over?

All statistical anomalies should be investigated to look for patterns. No one is advocating the bold lol.
