yahoo comments have been disabled for about 9 months now. on ALL articles.

they got brigaded by readers commenting "who cares" and "world is in crisis and u care about how much Madonna's pajamas are" and similar.

ive seen brigades with right wingers, trans brigades, etc. this wasnt that, it was just people fed up with how shit they are. so they shut off comments LOL

a lot of online comments got shut down in 2020. turns out with everyone at home and unmoderated they voiced their displeasure at the shitty 'news' websites and viola, no more comment sections

yup. news source spotlights fringe wierdos for an article but doesnt want to hear what the masses actually think. shocker that the Entertainment, Style, Culture, BlackVoices, etc depts are insulated echo chambers. just crazy.

it was actually funny to see the comment sections be completely opposite of whatever the author(s) were pushing

i mean yahoo! has some real wackos in even their streamlined stuff. like their economics/finance main dude is a total emotional dweeb who was crying that the sky was falling from 2015-2019. actually he has always been like that, fucking miserable wannabe bear. then in 2020 he was actually happy when the downturns started with covid and was gleefully blaming the usual suspects for it. you can imagine how that went over lmao.

San Francisco is doing the right thing has eliminated noted racists "Abraham Lincoln" and "George Washington" from the school district. Dianne Feinstein was not sufficiently woke, and has been banned as well.

should have saved money and just added "Carver" after the GW school so they could keep all of the uniforms/signs.
