Very eloquent. You've shown your disdain for the lower classes quite clearly. I salute you. :)

IGs play a valuable role, we should all value them. But I don't see how this isn't the express prerogative of Trump to do. He is the head of the executive branch.

It is, but he needs to give a good reason to Congress because that's the law.

No, that's not the law. The law is that he can fire them for any reason under the sun. He merely needs to list that reason, then give them the new appointee. You're LYING. :)

Worked for Obama when all the Bush-era bureaucrats were fired. Didn't see me complaining then.

It's highly transparent that you're complaining now. Democrats lost 2016. They lost their power. That doesn't mean they still have power in the executive branch. That means they don't. None. Natta. Get the fuck out.

This is the best part about being independent. Watching the two sides go and dogfight each other, and calling out the side that's so out of line that it's clear they don't care about the country, the law, or even the politics, only power.

I respect Trump, but also will be the first to call him out as asshole. I don't think he should have been President, or involved in politics. But I think someone like him was NEEDED. The slap in the face of arrogant upper clansmen who believed that they had established a dictatorship-oligarchy where they could dictate the lives of 90% of the country is fucked up.

You've never been on the short side. That's what I argue in favor of. You show your bias every post. I show mine. I favor the poor and disadvantaged. You show the wealthy and privileged. Every action by Trump helps those I represent. Every action by Trump that helps those I represent harms you. You've had it great by taking advantage of other people. What happens when true equality of opportunity thrives?

Gonna have to respectfully disagree on whether Trump’s actions have helped the wealthy.

As a member of the working class, I can verify that not only did my pay stay stagnant under Obama, but my federal taxes went up.

Under Trump, my pay went up, and my federal taxes went down. This is very ad hoc. But it's not wrong.

I never questioned whether or not Trump's actions helped the wealthy. If they help the poor, and they have equality in mind, they will necessarily help the wealthy. So what? I don't need the wealthy to suffer. Merely to do better myself.

Susan Collins, who wrote the Inspector General Reform Act of 2008, disagrees with you. So no, I am not lying.

You can read more about it here:

You definitely can't fire an IG for "any reason under the sun." That's most certainly false. Ultimately, it's up to Congress to investigate this matter and provide oversight. If it's as simple as Trump losing confidence in his IG due to him being bad at his job and nothing more, that should be sufficient. We should let the investigation (if any) play out.

So for this factual guide.
My taxes went up- pay went up also
My sisters family taxes increased by 13k, pay stayed the same.
So no tax reduction for the middle class here, trump did not help

Allow me to laugh my fucking ass off, first.

OK, now that I've got that out.....

I know full and well that it is Trump's prerogative to fire executive department personnel. If it was simply him cleaning house of people from the previous administration, that would be one thing. But it's taken him 3 1/2 years to do this, and to do so now, when both of the recently fired IGs had been conducting investigations into malfeasance by their respective department heads, smacks of retaliation and coverup. I'm not so concerned about Mike Pompeo's use of staffers to do personal errands (while there's ethical issues, it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things). I AM concerned about Pompeo (and Trump) using a bogus emergency declaration to be able to send arms to the Saudis without Congressional approval. I AM concerned about Elaine Chao providing favoritism to her husband's home state or her shipping company. I'm also concerned about her husband being the one in charge of vetting the replacement IG nominee (if that doesn't scream "Conflict of Interest", then I've got news for you, you're not independent).

You call yourself independent, yet I've only ever seen you toeing the GOP/Trump line in here. How many of Bush's IGs that Obama fired were done so for investigating Obama Administration officials? If you think I only support the wealthy and privileged (NEWS ALERT: Trump IS wealthy and privileged), then you're willfully blind. I'm not a Democrat. I haven't voted for a Democrat for president in over 25 years. You say you favor the poor and disadvantaged, yet you shill for a man who shits on them at every turn. You, independent?

Tax Cuts by the Numbers
Experts are divided on whether the tax law was a good idea. But there is little disagreement on this core point: Most people got a tax cut.

The Tax Policy Center estimates that 65 percent of people paid less under the law and that just 6 percent paid more.

Other analyses reached similar conclusions. The Joint Committee on Taxation — found that every income group would see a tax cut on average. So did the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a December 2017 analysis found that every income group in every state would pay less on average under the law in 2019.

So far, tax season seems to be playing out more or less as the experts predicted. H&R Block, the tax-preparation giant, said last week that two-thirds of returning customers had paid less tax this year than last. Taxes were down, on average, in every state.

Albeit they weren’t sweeping tax cuts, most people paid less.
