Seems you forgot a lot of things: Events of 100+ people, workers in open space, subway, etc...
Whatever... You first need to stop the progression with a strong lockdown, especially when people are not used to wear masks and stuff.

Just look at the laboratories that use them. The laboratories claim to have a level of safety but the labs are manned by imperfect humans. People quit with high turnover, have improper training, make mistakes. Average citizens have far less ability to manage the spread.

The virus will become endemic unless an outright cure is found. Human behavior is too random. As it stands now, there will be a second wave later this year and it will be DEVASTATING. You'll have two options at that point, shut down the economy (kill everyone) or let it run its course.

Mass gatherings of hundreds of people would be banned if people can't keep a safe distance, that should be obvious already.

By asking people to work from home when they can, you reduce the amount of people on public transport straight away. Then enforce a max number of people per subway cart or bus.

If I can think of these viable solutions off the top of my head, I'm sure world leaders and their teams of experts can do the same and come up with a way to ease lockdown restrictions without a massive second wave of infections.

This one is brainwashing millions into believing that stopping the economy is a good idea. Now governors are talking about extending the distancing measures into mid-May. When will it end?
