It's important to point out that all the distinctions between humans are societal. As much as the right loves finding sources like The Bell Curve, if you actually sit down and look at the sources it's all based on some really shit science. And I am sorry that in my life I've repeated it as well.

For instance one of the things I've said is that during WW2 they gave soldiers an IQ test to find potential officers. This is wrong. They gave them a general survey that did include some elements that maybe include things that could be considered a basic IQ test, but not really.

Then several decades later psychologists tried to take this and extrapolate it to IQ, but in their assessment they took lifestyle data and included that in the regression, so higher income (i.e. parents with more skilled jobs) were weighted to have a higher IQ. Then later on, forgetting that the lifestyle things were included in the weighting, they compared the extrapolated IQ with the original lifestyle data to get a correlation between success and IQ. Well, what do you know, the IQ that was calculated using the lifestyle data as a factor correlated with the lifestyle factors.

The more I've researched IQ the more I realize even things that are "well supported" aren't actually supported at all. The literature around IQ is absolutely littered with this kind of shit science, and it's one reason why I don't value psychological research. IQ is supposed to be the best they've ever produced, and it's absolute shit.

overall i find the topics of cultural genocide around blacks and native americans far more interesting than whether jamaicans are african americans.

its just more of white people telling blacks what they can or cant call themselves.

tribal identity and national heritage were stolen from blacks and natives. thats a fruitful discussion.
