Imho that's a shrewd move by Biden. Him, or at least his advisors, must know that this is a tricky issue on which Democrats cant win. He's basically throwing Kamala to the wolves here, forcing her to take a bullet for him. Whatever Kamala does, she will either alienate the moderate wing of her party and make herself even more toxic to right-wing America, or she will massively alienate the progressives and activists.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It doesnt seem as if Biden and Harris are particularly close. He probably only chose her as his running mate because she ticked all the diversity boxes that he needed for his ticket. Better knock her down a peg before she gets into position to plot against him effectively.

She is a non threat with her low polling numbers during dem primaries, skid mark candidate. Even the populus Tulsi was able to wreck her. I hope for this administration s sake Biden doesn't have to leave the reigns to her. Would be a huge let down for the people if she leads.

Democratic party elites and donors seem to really like her though. Like I already said way back in early 2019: Harris is essentially 'brown Hillary'.
