I agree. I'm confused how someone could classify Trump University as a scam.
Misleading? Yes. Unethical? Yes.
But ultimately these people and students chose to attend an unaccredited university/college.
Maybe I just don't have all the information on this subject. Was Trump U claiming that it was an accredited college or gave college credit? If so, then I'd be more comfortable labeling it as a scam rather than just misleading or unethical.
Having 'University' in the name from 2004-2010 was certainly misleading, but if you're going to drop 10k-60k on an education, you should probably do some research on that school or program to see what you're getting into.
I mean, just watch this video. People can't tell this is just a bunch of crap?

"At Trump University, we teach success. That's what it's all about. Success. It's going to happen to you." LOL
But maybe I just need more info. What was Trump University claiming to do that it didn't?
I had a family member fall into a similar trap before, spending thousands of dollars on becoming a real-estate guru. Completely worthless. So I feel for these people that fell for this.
So I definitely can see why you could use this as a criticism of Trump's character. Very shifty and misleading and unethical way to make a quick buck. But was it a scam, in the legal sense? I'm not sure. I might just be unfamiliar with this subject, these are just my initial thoughts.
ya idk. doesnt seem like anything more than snake oil. I mean is that shitty for sure. sketchy as all hell. But we live in a world where its legal to sell all sorts of shit for ailments that are not at all FDA approved of fully studied even. If you can scam on sick people legally you should be allowed to scam on dumb rich people.
