everyone complains about violent and corrupt cops that escalate situations and brutalise / kill people. when people need them, what they want is competent cops that know how to deal with situations smartly, and not some poorly educated, trigger-happy bigot on a power trip.

the whole 'this way or no way' approach to this topic is so typical for the american right, you people need to learn that there's a whole lot of grey between those extremes...
