I don't really know why anybody considers Trump University a scam.

They bought it on his brand name. They wanted to gamble on possibly networking and impressing a high powered industry contact. That's a potential opportunity that's hard to turn down and merits a lot of consideration.

So what if only 1-5% of people could effectively get Trump's attention?

It's false equivalence to equate scams with scams? Oh.

How is it any different, other than what is being promised to the scamee?

just because you think something is a scam doesn't make it one - good that you didn't bother admitting it is off-topic though.

Of course it's not off topic.

And Idk, the state of New York already thought it was scam enough to force them to change their blatantly scammy name, and those charges sure seem to be pending for a reason.

Your argument about adults spending their money is bunk, and you're doing whatever you can to avoid actually addressing that. Thanks, have fun.

no no, you were debunked on the prior page and are repeating the same thing ad nauseam about how your interpretation of what a scam is trumps everyone elses, pun intended
You then equated people going to seminars with e-mail scammers

"Hi I'm interested in attending Tump University, what type of accredited degree can i expect upon completion"

"None, literally no accredited degree, just a participation plaque."

"Okay but its called University so i'll just ignore what you just said."

Seems like no more of a scam than hanging a "worlds best coffee" sign in your diner.

I agree. I'm confused how someone could classify Trump University as a scam.

Misleading? Yes. Unethical? Yes.

But ultimately these people and students chose to attend an unaccredited university/college.

Maybe I just don't have all the information on this subject. Was Trump U claiming that it was an accredited college or gave college credit? If so, then I'd be more comfortable labeling it as a scam rather than just misleading or unethical.

Having 'University' in the name from 2004-2010 was certainly misleading, but if you're going to drop 10k-60k on an education, you should probably do some research on that school or program to see what you're getting into.

I mean, just watch this video. People can't tell this is just a bunch of crap?

"At Trump University, we teach success. That's what it's all about. Success. It's going to happen to you." LOL

But maybe I just need more info. What was Trump University claiming to do that it didn't?

I had a family member fall into a similar trap before, spending thousands of dollars on becoming a real-estate guru. Completely worthless. So I feel for these people that fell for this.

So I definitely can see why you could use this as a criticism of Trump's character. Very shifty and misleading and unethical way to make a quick buck. But was it a scam, in the legal sense? I'm not sure. I might just be unfamiliar with this subject, these are just my initial thoughts.

You are welcome. I knew none of you hillary fanboys would mention it

No one who understands campaigns is going to mention that detail in the context you are, because they correctly understand that that it isn't a positive for Trump, it's a negative. Even he himself has started to admit that he's essentially dependent on the RNC, in a way that no other presidential candidate of either party has ever been before: https://twitter.com/SopanDeb/status/736217423284568064

One thing has become incredibly clear over the course of May: Trump's banking on getting bailed out, either by the RNC, the GOP's typical bankroller billionaires, or some stroke of blind luck. This could end up in disaster for the Republicans.

Funny part is you think a dem or socialist would make a mounting financial crisis better.

LOL, I definitely picked the right page to start back on this laugh riot. I seem to recall a certain incumbent Democratic president successfully steering the U.S. through a financial crises, successfully preventing a double-dip recession that several of our contemporaries went through. And all while our federal deficit shrunk by two-thirds.

But no matter, we can just replace him with the guy who thinks we can just tell countries who hold large portions of our debt to take a "haircut," or else. Idiots.

He also started a looming student loan crisis.

The economy succeeded despite his ignorance, not otherwise.
