This is why I don't understand the south being Islamophobic in the United States

because white southerners generally have political power in the U.S. while Muslims don't.

When liberals defend Muslims it's not because we think their ideas are good, or we think their religion is good, or whatever. It's because they're being attacked by a group with more power and they can't adequately defend themselves without political capital. Liberals will pretty vehemently disagree with ideas of certain Muslims, but when they're attacked by groups with more political power who try to paint Muslims with a broad brush that's something liberals are against.

This explains why liberals defend muslims already living in the country. It does not explain why they support policies that would lead to further, and probably increased, muslim immigration into the US.

I cant speak to every liberal, but generally the pro immigration sentiment in the country is because we are a main player in creating the demand for immigration by bombing them so hard

I'm on my phone so a thorough explanation isn't possible, but American foreign policy isn't limited to bombs or the explicit borders of countries

They have been brainwashed to hate the US and want to see it destroyed. They will lie and deny this but the seeds were planted through years of government schooling and media.
