Just saw his "I have absolute power to open the country"

Dude, you have the power to open the executive branch of the federal government. That's it. Everything else from running elections to stay at home orders is in the states hands.

Interestingly enough, I listened to a legal analysis of what would happen if elections got delayed (which they won't be). Basically since the president and vice president have specific dates for their terms spelled out in the constitution no matter what Trump's term ends in January unless reelected. Same with Pence. Then it moves down the chain, to speaker of the house, who wouldn't be elected either because of election delays, then to President Pro Tempore of the Senate, which would be the oldest serving member of the majority party of the senate, made up by the remaining 2/3rds since 1/3rd of the senators couldn't have their elections (unless the states step in to appoint senators).


I thought it was interesting at least how far down the line the presidency would fall if the presidential elections got suspended.

So Chuck Grassley would become president since McConnell has to run for reelection in 2020 and wouldnt be sworn in again?

Would he be allowed to appoint a Vice President of his choosing? Considering his age of 87 years, the VP might become a factor soon...

He is indeed who I listened to and ive posted him here a few times. I also listen to Lehtos Law and Leonard French.

I recommend the former but the later is pretty boring
