does 31 days as potus even count?

but for real tho neither JQA or WHH address the point im making. both political parties called them that, one for an obvious reason. unlike how edgy right wingers insist on saying obama's scary sounding middle name. if he was Barrack William Obama you'd never hear it.

FDR was often referred to as 'FDR', which sort of includes the middle name.

But seriously: is it really a surprise that the political opponents of the president elected in 2008 exploit the fact that he shares a name with the guy the country had waged a war against just 5 years prior (with this exact war still ongoing and being a big deal at the time this new president took office)?
If his name had been "Barack Vladimir Obama", Republicans would have emphasized the middle name just as much imho.

I purposely use Hussein specifically racist connotations in order to be funny. Middle initials are sometimes used i.e. George W Bush and you occasionally have acronyms (FDR, JFK) for legendary figures.

Barack Hussein Obama is known as Obama or Barack Obama though. I would definitely be suspicious of people who harp on using "Hussein."

i'd bet there's a near 100% overlap of those who insist on using his middle name and those that think he's a Kenyan born Muslim, and ironically also criticize him for a connection to a pastor that's too anti-white.

I used to smoke weed at his tomb in North Bend OH, which was right on our smoking route.

Oh, it was for sure intended as a racist dog whistle by a lot of people. I just dont think that the fact they stressed his middle name is sufficient proof for that.

Like I said, imagine his name had been "Barack Vladimir Obama", and Republicans had constantly stressed his middle name - would you also have considered this a racist dog whistle?

you have to 'learn' to distinguish between 'proof that would, without any further context, convince a completely oblivious jury in a court of law', and blatantly obvious stuff that every halfway intelligent and objective person can identify immediately. it's funny how everytime it comes to the right wing's racism you act like the former requirement has to be met to identify it as such, trying so hard to delude yourself that everything short of using the n-word on tape, and proudly sporting a swastika tattoo can't possibly be called racist with certainty.

if it quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck, looks like a duck, swims like a duck, flies like a duck, and duck experts determined it's definitely a duck, you might want to overthink your usual stance that it can only be a duck if admits it's a duck - because ducks rarely do that.

i mean, you're removing the racial/xenophobic factor then asking me if it's the same. this is like asking "if the white cops beat up a white guy, would it be racist then?". no, of course if he didnt have a scary middle name it wouldnt be xenophobic. it would have been stressing his middle name for a different reason, and xenophoba would be removed from the equation. it would be garden variety political sniping in that situation.

but also Obama didn't go to war with Saddam, Bush did. he just inherited the occupation of Iraq.
