Not really. He doesn't make hard stands, and promotes obviously ridiculous policies so he can appeal to the Republican base. His entire wall idea is ridiculous and there's no way pushes it beyond superficial pandering from now on.

He wants to end foreign aid, so yes.

He doesn't want to end foreign aid. He wants countries to pay for American military support, that's a large difference.

Can you explain how this is a ridiculous stance? An example is Americans are defending the border between North and South Korea for South Korea. Why is it ridiculous that South Korea should pay for this support?

The better question is how you think we could get the world to pay for our military intervention. South Korea is an ally in the region against China. How long do you think that lasts when we start sending them a bill?

You get the world to pay for military support by sending a bill just like you said. The United States military is not a charity. Do you think South Korea is only aligning with the USA because of this charity military? That seems like a poor reason to be spending billions of taxpayer dollars, America first as President Trump says.
