The last time a black justice movement devolved into spreading violence and civil unrest acoss the nation, the country got President Nixon and 40 years of political dominance by Republicans.

This is a different country now. The majority are left wing or at the very least close to the center and in favor of social liberalism. Back then there legitimately was a conservative silent majority. They're dead and gone.

This is true as long as the left doesnt overreach, doesnt overplay its hand. But if they do, history might well repeat itself.

If those upscale, leftward-trending white suburbanites start genuinely fearing for the safety of their own families and property, or if they're faced with the prospect that it could be themselves who have to pay the price for their virtue signalling, that it could be their own privilege that's ceded for the sake of racial justice (and not that of degenerate rural hillbillies from flyover country), then they'd put on MAGA hats before you finish spelling 'w-o-k-e'.

It's not the same sentiment.

One can acknowledge that africans and middle easterners are in principle able to improve their societies over time and to eventually reach the same degree of civilization as the West and, at the same time, also acknowledge that they are currently plagued by a highly problematic, backwards culture that leads immigrants from these regions to be a big net negative for countries that take them in unchecked. Those two views are not contradictory at all.
