the question "how do we reduce/stop police shootings" and any good answer involve "increase education in poor urban areas", but anything except "just stop shooting black people, duh police, why dont u get that, stop hunting them" becomes malicious racism. in these urban environments its not just the black people who are being shot, its by and large the lowest performing black people, generally with criminal records. if systematic racism is at fault for the situation, and it is, we need to attack it systematically.
i wonder how many people screeching for positive change actually live in or even visit these downtrodden areas and then go try and help (either through time, money, or joining organizations aimed at improving education and quality of life)
i know you have and i do as well, but most don’t or they write a check to some massive umbrella organization that maybe puts 5% of their funding into the communities that need support most
