the question "how do we reduce/stop police shootings" and any good answer involve "increase education in poor urban areas", but anything except "just stop shooting black people, duh police, why dont u get that, stop hunting them" becomes malicious racism. in these urban environments its not just the black people who are being shot, its by and large the lowest performing black people, generally with criminal records. if systematic racism is at fault for the situation, and it is, we need to attack it systematically.
Youre right, maybe hes making a nuanced point about education and not justifying shootings based on the lack of education and therefore value of the person being shot.
I very much doubt it, and id bet id find a history that doesn't support that if I looked into somebody who just tweeted that Trumps leadership has been the best example in his lifetime because following experts mindlessly is not leadership. But ya know, maybe youre right and it is a nuanced point about education being part of the solution.
