The meme did not "pretend two sides talking about the same issue makes them sound alike". The point of the meme is that both sides were talking about the same issue using the same words and arguments and emphasis (but ofc coming from diametrically opposed motivations to arrive at this very similar language).

YOU said 'they sound alike', that's what the meme suggested, and that's what i challenged - because
they simply don't, as demonstrated several times.
it's about as honest and accurate as making a meme that has trump and a blm protester saying "
what's happening with these statues is unacceptable. something has to be done about it. it's a historically relevant topic that needs to be addressed", and then claim 'something is very wrong when the two sides sound so similar', when in reality i had to leave out their whole stance on the issue to claim that in the first place.
