Their employees will pay taxes on their salary though; and of course spend their salary to stabilize businesses in their community.
Isnt that the classical, Keynesian argument - that the state shall find ways to get money into the hands of the common people to stimulate demand (particularly during an economic crisis), and that the taxes they pay and the growth this induces will ultimately recoup most of the money?
