1. Johnny Depp marries smokeshow modestly busted crazytown actress Amber Heard, aka Elon Musk's ex.
2. Tumultuous marriage ensues, Johnny drinks heavily against Heard's wishes
3. over the course of the relationship multiple bad fights happen, almost entirely verbal in nature
4. Heard is recorded by Johnny without her knowledge, admits to hitting Johnny during several fights
5. Johnny admits to checking out of the relationship to avoid more fights, specifically physical ones because he is not a wife beater
6. Amber/Johnny divorce, Amber runs to ex bf Elon for support, Amber files for a large divorce settlement, alimony, etc
7. UK newspaper runs "Depp = wife beater" story, based on claims by Heard.
8. during discovery its revealed Depp recorded Heard and caught MANY unsettling admissions
9 Heard attempts to reverse course, Depp attacks to clear his name
10. in court its decided no physical abuse from depp, heard was the main aggressor, public scrutiny against heard extends to calls to have her removed from Aquaman 2
11. Depp files law suit in UK against newspaper over libel, now proven in US court.
12. Libel suit dismissed, UK sides with newspaper
13. Depp is dismissed from role in Fantastic Beasts franchise's 3rd and beyond films, citing morality issues because the suit was dismissed in the UK, where Harry Potter is from.
14. Depp has filmed 3 scenes, but will get paid entire contract, no morality clause present to null pay, but he can be dismissed.
15. Heard still in Aquaman 2 as of yet.


so Heard lies about Johnny hitting her, even tho she attacked him, once shit on his bed in a fit of rage, started fights to get attention, files for cash payout, oh-fucks her way out of that, loses court case, keeps her job, and Depp loses his.

it did, but too much invested. they'll scale back promotion and pimp it out to netflix asap once it leaves theaters to cover costs and save face. 4th and/or 5th movie likely scaled way back or cut.
