This explains so much.

It's still a funny meme you made. I was just commenting on a side note. :)

/e I tired adding blueberries to tuna fish salad. It wasn't... horrible or anything, but it wasn't the latest taste sensation, either. :)

It DID turn out that way. Fortunately, I then picked the blueberries out, washed them off and ate them anyway.

BUT... here's a great potato salad recipe...

Creamy Potato Salad (with Apples, Raisins and Walnuts)

/e Btw, potato salad was invented in Germany. Despite what SNL might think. :D

I don't eat very many nuts either. Just walnuts, cashews, macadamia nuts, and the occasional coconut.

/e And I'm not sure if coconuts are even considered nuts.

It's a choice between keeping them there and eating a hospital bed for 2 weeks, or shipping them back and letting somebody else use the bed. They even had to ship people out of the city to other hospitals with available beds. It wasn't a mistake, it was a reality of hospital administration. Hospital resources are severely limited in normal times, much less during a pandemic.

This is the reality. Low information people are upset about clinical reality.

PP video all over.

Strange how no other place suffered from this problem to nearly the same degree as New York. They even reversed this policy of returning coronavirus patients to their nursing homes, something that you claim was impossible:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/new-york-will-no-longer-require-nursing-homes-take-covid-n1204586

A really good in-depth article detailing what went wrong in New York's coronavirus response, particularly when compared with California, is the following:
https://www.propublica.org/article/two-coasts-one-virus-how-new-york-suffered-nearly-10-times-the-number-of-deaths-as-california

An article focusing more on New York and nursing homes in particular is this one:
https://www.propublica.org/article/fire-through-dry-grass-andrew-cuomo-saw-covid-19-threat-to-nursing-homes-then-he-risked-adding-to-it

Oh yeah, one more thing: NY governor Andrew Cuomo received big donations by the CEOs of nursing home companies in his 2018 campaign, and returned the favor when he in May 2020 signed a bill which gives the execs of healthcare industry companies strong legal protection against lawsuits over the coronavirus outbreak:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/26/andrew-cuomo-nursing-home-execs-immunity

And this is the guy the msm portrayed as a shining knight and contrasted as much as possible with Trump.

So, tldr: orange man = bad, Cuomo = good, people questioning the things going on in liberal strongholds = low information.

Were any of the places they compared to at a similar infection level to New York? As in number of cases versus the number of infections? You aren't going to see skyrocketing deaths when you get a lot of infections, you will see skyrocketing deaths when infections overwhelm hospital infrastructure.

But to the best of my knowledge, hospital infrastructure in NYC was not overwhelmed.
