Holy misrepresentations, Batman!

Non-Hispanic whites as a share of the public at large are 63% of the population but only 40% of SNAP beneficiaries and blacks are 12% of the population, yet 25% of the SNAP beneficiaries, so this makes your point how?

What is he misrepresenting exactly? And what is his point? All I see is statistics and comentary, not an overarching argument. This is the political picture thread after all..

This is a fair point. But it's still contrary to the public's overall opinion of people on welfare.

He's misrepresenting the public's perceptions of SNAP on race, trying to make people blame whitey.

How did he misrepresent the public's opinion by providing polling data?

He presented it as irrationally skewed, when it is rational.

Depends what group. Republicans are incredibly wrong. The only group that has a good picture is black people.

Overall it's skewed, and you can't have a rational deviation from reality, because, ya know, words have meaning.

Well, they don't, they have uses, but that's another conversation all together.

Yeah, 40% would mean whites are under represented, if you compare demographic ratios.

The liberal mind will find a way to rationalize this by looking at the raw numbers, rather than considering context.

Are you retarded? Of the groups, blacks are the most likely, as a share of the population, to be takers as opposed to givers based on Skinned's data. Left is not right. Up is not down. Words do indeed mean things.

Can you even read? I said the group that has A GOOD PICTURE. Meaning the ones who's opinion most closely resembles reality. Your defensiveness from the other thread is bleeding over into your reading comprehension. I'd seriously get your anger under control.

Words don't have meanings, they have uses. We USE words to convey meaning. Words do not have meaning themselves.

You're saying the blacks have a good perception, or they are being represented well?
