You clearly didn't read the WaPo article lol or at least not very well

They rebuke it on the basis that 3 arent democrat controlled and democrats control every purely urban district but one so its not surprising that they control the mayoral office in most cities.

The point is that they blame systemic racism, Republicans, and Trump for problems in districts they've controlled for generations. Show accountability for your failures. I'm seeing this more and more, where the first reaction to "leftist activists did something bad" is to theorize that white supremacists / fascists / proud boys are secretly behind it.

It goes without saying though that this is a carbon copy of the old "red states are poor!" argument that every Democrat on this board has been using for the past ten years.

Having the mayor isn't a golden ticket to fix all problems lol

Contentious and non-violent does not mean violent.

Look at Minneapolis and Minnesota. The Democrats have controlled both houses for 20+ years out of the last 50. Republicans have had the same luxury for 4. Dominant control of Minneapolis, and a progressive, Democrat voting population that has gone blue federally for decades.

If "systemic racism" is a problem in Minneapolis, there's really only one party to blame.

This is for all the protesters out there....

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can

But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead

But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right

Yeah... this is what happens when you have protests, and you DON'T have The Beatles to guide you. :D
